After a long day of work on Tuesday, I spent a part of my Wednesday proof reading and addding anything I have missed into my U28A3T2 discussion report. When I have completed this, I submitted the entire assignment three to "Zoetic Zoe" from home. In addition to this, I wanted to make a logo and use it immediately when I start making my website today, however I didn't understand the principals of HTML and CSS so therefore I decided to wait in order to not waste time or effort.
When I arrived at the center today, I didn't draw (a little change to my schedule and plans). Instead, I helped Matthew T and other peers around me on their assignment three work. I also got help from Matthew T and Alex W, whom are good website programmers. As a result, I have started my website production. A little while after, Ashley P submitted his weekly Thursday Quiz and we all participated in it. There were 10 questions, with a total of 15 marks. In general, the questions were a recap about the Notepad++ and its functions etc. which to me, I did poorly and got 4/12 at the end - I wasn't the lowest however, Gabe H did. And the winner... you know who it was - Joe B, he was the first student to start programming and therefore his familiarity with the program gave him a vantage point, nice!
Afterwards, the lesson started. "Zoetic Zoe" allowed everyone to continue their assignment three work and have nicely extended the deadline from today to tomorrow. As I and a few others are mainly ahead of the majority, I started to program and code my website as they did the same. At first, I got entirely stuck and did not know what to do. However, with support from W3C Schools, pre-made tutorial codes from Code Academy, inspirational designs from Code Pen, advice from peers, and my original assignment three task one work. I looked at my action plan and then proceeded with the first few steps in my mind.
I firstly decided to make design the simplest part, which was the logo and background. After then, I got a lot of help from Alex W (shout out to his blog) and some from "Zoetic Zoe" that helps interconnect the CSS and HTML together. From there on, I worked my way upwards till the end of the day where I had my logo designed, a final background, and a navigation bar that works half way.
At lunch, I played basketball again and helped Adam M with his three point shooting technique. For me, I missed a lot but I am starting to get the grip as I scored two three pointers, making it six! I also got Adam M to kindly record it for me, so it should be up in my social media (if you can find me).
My plans for tomorrow are to continue my web production - I will animate and create a hover change to my nav-bar and start applying content. I believe tomorrow I will reach my half way peak, therefore I can start reviewing it with other people (apart of U28A4T1, the new and final assignment).
Overall, today has been extremely difficult, but it was also fun and that made up for today. Ultimately, it was successful and I hope success will keep coming my way if I work towards my goal. I have learnt a lot about the language itself, and I am enjoying it more. My webpage will most likely not be as great as the others, but I will make sure it ticks off every criteria the Scheme of Learning states and of course, apply my own knowledge and research to up its aesthetic appearance to the viewer. Until tomorrow!
