Workaholic Activate!

Hello.

Over Tuesday night and Wednesday, I have managed to create the checklists for both U2A3T2 and U2A3T3. This wasn't difficult but I had to do some research for the third task due to the Scheme of Learning being unspecific and broad. In addition, I also completed U2A2T1.

Today is Gabe's birthday so when he came into the classroom, "Jovial John" played a funny piece of music (which I don't know the name). Happy birthday to him. As a starter, John sent us a link where we see how well we can the quality of audio. It was a website with music compressed and uncompressed - usually, the uncompressed files would have the largest file size but also the best quality. For me, I couldn't tell most of the difference. In the end, I learnt that the quality of audio is a dependent factor based on hardware component. Want to see for yourself? Click here.

When the lesson finally begun, "Jovial John" firstly showed examples of work from couple years ago regarding U2A3T1 and U2A3T2. Before we held a discussion, we all read through the examples provided to identify things it has missed or things it has included but we have not got. As a class, we discussed the issues and strengths of the piece of work. This will hopefully set a specific standard for me, especially within the images because I definitely would like non-blurry and well-positioned photos/print screens.

Next, as a recap, "Jovial John" explained U2A3T1. Since the first batch selected are currently building and setting up their computer systems with a checklist. John has explained where all the components are located as well as telling us to state what component we added/removed (installed) so he can examine and observe us. Throughout this time period, he also made reminders about our checklists and therefore I added anything I had previously missed. I also took this opportunity to help Ben R next to me on U2A3T3. In the background, a piece of paper was going round where we can put anything we are confused on regarding U2A1 and U2A2. For me, I was more stuck on how to be succinct (I had already typed the least I could whilst meeting the criteria).

When we started working on our own work, I got John to check my checklists and then he confirmed that it is complete. Throughout the day, I took my time to complete all of the re-submissions from U2A1 and then resubmitted it. "Jovial John" also made a reminder list of what to include in U2A2, so I checked against it and realised I had missed a vital part (the actual. I then spent some time on including necessary information before sending it. Throughout our learning, I have also messed around with some computer components by learning how to install them. As it was my first time installing a RAM and Graphics Card component, I was unsure whether I'd break it by pushing harder, however all turned out well and I had explored more.

Overall, today is yet another focused day where I worked and got all outstanding work completed. All that is left is to complete the third assignment which I should be able to start tomorrow. I am actually thankful that we started earlier because this Saturday I will be going to a university taster day (Hertfordshire) and next week I will have my Chinese exam. I hope to get work done and or to a point where I can slow down and focus on other things in life. Until tomorrow!
