Special Animation Day!

Hey,

Today is a Wednesday and that means it is our day off in the week so this blog is unnecessary to be honest. Nonetheless, this blog will still be published because I feel the need to document down my progress for today and as promised from yesterday.

When I came in today, I immediately cracked on alone whilst the Level 2's were in the background learning Maths. I first showed the "Amazing Adam" the progress of all the work I crammed in last night, and it was a big leap. He then gave me some critical and constructive critics for the future and about other work (Unit 39). On a side note, I will be coming in to college on Tuesday 7th March 2015 to practice my English skills to be more succinct yet effective/detailed.

To warm up, I imported my work, loaded my assets from last night, screenshotted them and annotated them quickly in a succinct yet detailed paragraph. I included the technique, relationship with other work and other. Afterwards, I looked at the time plan to prepare in advance for what I need to do tomorrow. As a result, I made a to do list for everyone with our remaining outstanding work we must complete and sent it off as an email, this will give them a heads up as Matthew T and Matthew B will stay in till 4pm tomorrow and Friday.

I then created another asset for our animation, which is the background. I did this in Adobe Photoshop CS6 and primarily used the gradient tool to give it a noise effect. With the help of this more eye catching background, I sent it to the group members and I continued to animate scene three shot one where Matthew B left off.  Mid way throughout my work, Rebekah asked me to send her some of my U37A1T2 work so she can do some lesson planning. I emailed her and distributed my work about animation pioneers, developers and contemporary work. I also attached my timelines in addition for a simplistic summary of all the information there are.

Returning back to animating in Adobe Flash CS6, I eventually synchronised all of the music to the animation as well as using the VCAM to showcase different camera angles. However, to do this I watched a tutorial video where I originally obtained this download from to get a grip of its purpose, this has helped me a lot (Drawing with Jazza). When finished, I started off scene four shot one in order to create a smoother transition to the next scene. The rest will be left up to Matthew B as I will update him soon.

Consequently, I screenshotted all of the major changes and progresses and annotated them in our Google documents. This includes the background, the scenes and so on. Whilst at it, I updated the dope sheet and reformatted areas to save space. I also spent some time sorting out my files and renaming them, giving them a good name convention for easier access in future. At the end of the day, I noticed the "Amazing Adam" marking our assignment two work, I will be reading it and making changes to the part I wrote only and will update everything to the other two tomorrow.

Overall, today is a very quiet but progressive day. Though there are still some work outstanding, I will be completing them tonight and tomorrow onwards. I thank the "Amazing Adam" for letting me stay and focus on completing the work. I believe our group are now much more ahead as when I finish, I can aid the other two.

That's the day!

Edit: Edward L and Gabe H were the only other two who came in, although Gabe H left at Lunch.
