Hello!
Today when I arrived to the center, I went through the same routine again which was drawing - just slowly improving and reaching my career dream; a games art designer. When the lesson started, "Zoetic Zoe" started to cover the second task of assignment 2, Unit 28. However, she firstly did a recap of yesterday's task to anyone who wasn't here on Monday.
When she explained the second task, we were paired up. It was the first time I was paired with Joe B and that was a good experience as he is a hard worker. When the class was split, we were each assigned a word to research (which was related to the second task). Since this task is regarding security risks and protection mechanisms on webpages, me and Joe B got 'Strong Passwords'. Without the need to research anything on the internet, our personal knowledge was able to type a 300 word explanation of this within 10 minutes. This made it easy for the task as I am able to reword, and copy/paste it into the assignment.
Today, we purely focused on finishing more theory work. For me, I started U28A2T2 and ended up finishing it at the end of the day. Although it was somewhat boring and tiring, I managed to get it done whilst I had the determination to do so! The good part about this was I had learnt most of this previously in my GCSE's from ICT, so factors such as hacking, phishing and the data protection act 1998 was pretty familiar.
At the end of the day, I proof read and double checked the task. I then submitted the second assignment altogether for Zoe to mark someday. With the remaining time, I copied the files onto my memory stick to take home and update. I also spent the time practicing a bit more coding on Code Academy and W3Schools. This is to help prepare me for the next assignment from the Scheme of Learning.
Overall, today was a successful day; I realise that nowadays I am able to get work done on the same day I was assigned as long as I keep my head down and work. I will aim to do the same for the third assignment as the actual coding of web productions start now. Have a great day! =)
