Web Production Theory!

Hey!

On this fine Tuesday, when I arrived to the college early I firstly practiced some more coding at code academy. I had learnt how to make comments on HTML + CSS language by performing <!-- and --> as the opening/closing tags. Making comments are beneficial because it will remind you of why you made a particular statement without showing up on the final result.

When the day started, we didn't have a starter today which was unusual but a change is always good. We firstly watched a comedic video which introduced the internet back in the days. After that, we had a 12 question quiz to test us about how much we know within the first assignment. As I have done some preparation revision yesterday and this morning, it has put be in a beneficial spot for answering all of the questions in full detail. The questions were about the internet, webpages and different servers and functions. Though, at the end I got a total of 11/12 - simple mistakes!

Next, as a class "Zoetic Zoe" paired us up into pairs and assigned us to research a key terminology directly from the Scheme of Learning. I paired up with my peer next to me, whom was Matthew T. Together, we got the word "mail server", however we accidentally misread it as "main server". No wonder why it got too tricky all of a sudden, haha... Regardless, as I didn't research this word I ended up doing some independent study on this. Immediately after, we shared the our definitions to the class together. We also put it in an accessible folder everyone can see. However, the viewer must reword the definition in order to avoid plagiarising.

Consequently, we then begun the first assignment and task of this unit. As we worked, I sorted out the introduction and begun typing away. I was one of the fastest workers today as I have some personal knowledge in mind already, which meant I didn't need to research as much. However, Joe B started incredibly early and therefore finished right when we started, nice job! The drawbacks of working on computer are the strain on my eyes, therefore at lunch I went to play basketball again (I might have not mentioned this in previous blogs). In basketball I have been practicing my shots as well as training with others.

For the rest of the day, I continued to work hard and aimed to get this done by tomorrow. By the end of the day, I double checked everything and made sure I understand all of the terminologies. I also took the time to tell the "Amazing Adam" that I have done the Scheme of Learning! This means I should be able to practice my coding as well as my drawing over tonight and tomorrow! Overall, I found today a successful day because I have managed to progress with no issue.

See you on Thursday!
