Website Production Completion + Evaluation!

Heyo.

After hours of self-coding at home, I have managed to get 99% of my website completed. All I had to do was to make the form link-able, therefore I created a to-do list and came into college prepared. At the start of the day, I spoke to "Zoetic Zoe" about the work and what she can do to help me. As a result, we decided to do it later. I also helped Euan J on his work when he was stuck by sharing the checklist "Zoetic Zoe" wrote for me and by providing some explanations to the tasks.

When the lesson started, I showed "Zoetic Zoe" my work and then started the distinction task - U28A4T2, this was the evaluation part of my website production as I need to explain how I met the criterion's stated in U28A3 - providing screenshots of both the final result of my website and the HTML+CSS code I did on Notepad++. Eventually, some point during the day, "Zoetic Zoe" wrote on the board a reminder of both the U28A4T1 and U28A4T2 tasks. This had helped many people as well as allowing me to check against my work with it.

From overworking on the second task too much, I decided to take a break and then come back to the form area. With "Zoetic Zoe's" advice, she told me to make it submit into an email instead rather than having the form related to an action_page.php etc, which I have no idea about. Ben R told me to use the code from my footer in the form submission. This cleared a lot of things and my website has then been completed. I took this opportunity to update FileZilla with my latest code, therefore updating the ict-showcase server - enabling everyone to view my website.

However, a lot of things have been changed as the Scheme of Learning is sometimes unclear and difficult to follow. When I submit the unit soon, I am unsure whether we will get version three of the SoL as Zoe has told me to make some changes, e.g. Have any form of interactivity on my webpage rather than Javascript and to make the form submit to my email rather than to an action_page.php/asp. I hope she will give us a new version for me to fill eventually.

Further inwards the day, I continued progressively at completing the second task of assignment four. By the end of the day, I had reached about half way as I slowly took my time to proof read and make sure I have included everything as I am working along the way. I also used this time to fill in a survey for Matthew T - which his website inspired me to add a little more to mine, which is optional.

Overall, today I have achieved a lot and I am certain that I will finish everything by tomorrow. My targets for tomorrow are to submit everything. including earlier resubmissions and by filling in the Scheme of Learning. This means on Thursday, I am able to go to the UCS trip with no outstanding work (except for resubmissions). However, "Jovial John" is starting the last unit with the peers who are not going, therefore I hope I am not one day behind or otherwise I'd need to work a tad more.

I also want to take this time to thank the people who have helped me most on my website coding when I am suck. These people are: Alex Watts and Sami Hawes. Please check out their blogs! =)

Good news; half term is here in two more college days! Woo.
P.S: I will post screenshots of my website tomorrow!
