Protocol Madness!

Friday!

This morning when I arrived to the center, I began my drawing as usual. When the lesson started, Brandon B had actually made his quiz! (At midnight). The questions within the quiz was about MGR Web Services' video. However, the questions were more visual than factual, therefore it was not my forte. However, since the questions were easy I managed to get a 7/8. On the other hand, Jordan B got 3/8 and therefore he has to make the quiz for next Thursday. Interested in the video? Watch here!

Next, "Zoetic Zoe" firstly explained the remaining task of the assignment, U28A1T4. This task was about explaining the TCP/IP protocol model in detail, whilst including technical explanations of the application layer protocols. During her brief descriptions of the task, I made notes which helped lay out my final report. Just before I was to begin task 4, I asked Zoe to check my task 3. As a result, I had missed one diagram and therefore I spent the first lesson in creating it and annotating it. Just before break started, I made sure I got the introduction done.

After break, I spent the second lesson completing half of the fourth task. I had used the notes I made, personal knowledge as well as some information from the communication technologies unit (Unit 10) to help expand my range of terminologies. It also helped reminded me of more detail. I have learnt more about how data are sent from the device to the webpage as a result of learning both units.

During lunch, me, Sami H, and Brandon B played basketball again. I am slowly improving my shooting skills as I have taken Joe B's dribbling advice and combining it with my high school experience. Indeed, it was a mega fun lunch.

After lunch, I spent the remaining lesson to complete the assignment and proof read it. I included illustrations as well as Harvard referencing them to keep it to a professional quality. As I have completed everything, "Zoetic Zoe" in agreement allowed me to submit the first assignment - it's finally done! Afterwards, "Jovial John" invaded the room and spoke to everyone about their outstanding work. When it was my turn, "Jovial John" asked me to Google why manhole covers are circular. Unnecessarily needing to know, I learnt that it is circular because it is easy to turn, it's hard for people to fall in, and it is also one of the strongest shapes. Back to topic, "Jovial John" taught me how to correctly fill in the Scheme of Learnings as I have missed the directory folder part. I used the remaining time of the lesson to do so, then making a comment on the mark grid.

At the end of the day, I started to look at the next assignment, possibly do a bit of coding and drawing definitely. Or I might just mess around, huehue.
