Design Logs

Five Broad Ideas.

Three Refined Ideas.
Again, today was another progressive day. For starters, the "Amazing Adam" explained to us about using more in-depth vocabulary, by replacing common words like "big" and "small" to more effective words such as humongous and tiny. The whole purpose of this is into increase the usage of vocabulary. (When I need to find another meaning of the same word, I usually look up the synonyms of a particular word). Additionally, the "Amazing Adam" announced the blog stars to us (me and Adam Milton) - this was my second time being a blog star! Moreover, we immediately started U30A3 at full speed, this is also referred to as our "Design Logs". The design log is a document where we provide sufficient evidence to back up our progress on our asset creation. After setting up the basics of the document such as the headers, footers and introduction, we uploaded and or created both mind maps of five broad ideas and three refined ideas for either platform scroller or maze game. I wanted to present my mind maps in clear detail so rather than uploading a photo of my notepad, I created the mind maps neatly from scratch in PowerPoint and uploaded it onto my design log.

Furthermore, I then spent time searching for royalty free background images that are suitable for each refined idea. As a result, I found clear quality textures and edited the image using different methods such as its Hue/Saturation and Levels. (Found at: Images > Adjustments > ...).  At start, it was hard to find free pictures that had no copyright or watermark placed upon it. But as I patiently searched, I found other freelancers and designers who design for the entertainment of it. This means they are professional and they do not put copyright on their pictures - this therefore allows me to locate and find royalty free background for usage.

Later on, the "Amazing Adam" did Thursday Quiz with the whole class. The video was about artificial intelligence. Additionally, this helps us improve on our listening skills and the ability to make notes. However, what stimulated everyone to pay attention the most is the student who scores the lowers points needs to create another Thursday Quiz which relates to the unit. In the end, Brandon scored the lowest. (rekt lawl XD)

During the last part of the day in self-study period, I finished small tasks off such as saving work and moving files to my USB. Preparing to get ready to continue the assignment and finish other files at home. Overall, today was a fun and fascinating start to the asset creation and the design log. My aim is to complete all the necessary tasks done by tonight.
