Today I came in earlier and started my A3T1 since I have completed all of my A2 today. I looked at the example "Zoetic Zoe" showed me and laid out my document. Afterwards, we started the day by having a normal quiz (not to be confused with Thursday Quiz) - we had to answer 9 questions with a total of 14 marks about this current unit (communication & employability skills for IT). These questions made us reflect on how much we can remember from what we've been taught. In the end, I got a total of 12 marks out of 14 as I had forgotten something very easy to remember.
Firstly, everyday Catherine would speak to one of us individually for about half an hour to talk about our progress, what we would do if's, future, and targets. After a long deep chat, I have set my own targets with her and I will now work towards preparing even more for my University choice in future, which I have been investing a lot of time on already before hand.
Moving on, everyone then continued with their work. Some people finished of creating their PowerPoints as others practiced presenting theirs. For me, I firstly helped Ben R as he was absent and filled him in with yesterday's work as well as for others who are stuck. I then continued A3T1 and typed about the learning styles, which consists of: active learners, sensory learners, visual learners, and sequential learners. I also added other learning style models such as VAK/VARK: Visual, Auditory, and Kinaesthetic. I then added some sample questions as I am creating a flyer for others to read and see what their learning style preference is. It is recommended to identify our learning styles as it can help maximise the efficiency of learning overall. At the end, I added my personal learning style and stated whether I agree or not, (read more about my last blog to see what scores I got for my VARK Questionnaire). I managed to finish everything before lunch.
During the first break, Chris M, Liam B, and Joe B all presented their presentations and I witnessed it, cheering them on whilst loading up barbie related websites on Chris M's computer with Brandon B. After lunch, I arrived 2 minutes late and had to wear the late hat, however as I had finished everything, me and Brandon B decided to create a new hat called the meme hat where it is essentially a box hat with lots of meme's I created stuck around on each panel. Thus, as more people got their work done they started going off track and helped us upgrade the current late hat. People included Chris M, Gabe H, Alex S, and Adam M all helped. In the end, I showed "Jovial John" the results and he was very surprised.
In summary, I spent half of the day finishing the work, and the other half benefiting the center by making hats. Other people played RuneScape on their computers and created a paper airplane galore. Today the cleaner is coming in therefore I will try and tidy everything so he/she has less of a work to do. I had a lot of freedom today, and so did a lot of the others - I really enjoyed some fun. I have also paid Catherine the money to go bowling.
I plan to take Wednesday off therefore I will turn all of the information I typed for A3T1 into a flyer and present it nicely with some images. Of course, I won't forget to reference. But do we reference on flyers?
