Progressive Programming Day!

Amazing Friday,

Today morning, we folded a piece of paper. Just kidding, "Jovial John" gave everyone two sheets of paper to replicate a piece of paper that was folded in a way where it would mind trick us. We struggled and I almost got there even with the help of team work. In the end, Alex W understood it and replicated it, this lead to "Jovial John" demonstrating how - cut two lines one side, and one opposite, fold 'n' spin! Voila! This was most likely to wake us up.

Moving on, "Jovial John" talked about M2 - where we need to justify suitable data types and code structures within our pseudocodes in A3T1. For example, an integer data type is needed to allow the program to count the number of walls. However, it is a whole number because there cannot be half a wall. Additionally, I mentioned sequence, selection, and iteration along with other data types. I ended up completing this task within the first part before the first break. When justifying, I highlighted key parts and gave clear reasoning.

After break, I continued with the program and expanded a little bit more within the chunk of code for 'Customer Identification'. I managed to use what we learnt previously and set a context and appendix using the variables 'customerUsername', 'customerHouseNumber', and 'Date'. Afterwards, I spent the rest of the day on perfecting my program. This includes making it reliable and robust, functioning well, sensible validation, comments, and indentations. I managed to get the first part of the program done. Moreover, I will be continuing to expand my program during the weekend and reach to a suitable spot where I can continue off on Monday.

In the last part of the day self-study, I spent my time making an A4 poster on Photoshop CS6 consisting of my game assets from Unit 30 Graphics Design for Catherine that she requested. This is for the open day here at Develop on this coming Wednesdays If anyone is interested in further education; information technology courses then I recommend this one in Norwich, UK! This reminded me of when I first applied here happily.

Afterwards, I helped other students and focused on getting to a solid point ready to go home and rest for the weekend.
