Website Production Completion!

During this morning at Develop, I originally planned to get the resubmissions done, however I had to wait for a friend and therefore arrived later than planned. Being flexible with my time and work, I decided to do my resubmissions at home and instead, immediately continue my U28A4T2 work. Continuing from the half way point, I continued to explain how my website I have designed meets the stated requirements on U28A3T1 (reference). I firstly wrote about how my tables work, its tags, elements and properties etc.

After completing another bullet point, I re-read the notes "Zoetic Zoe" gave me and realised I had missed one part. In U28A4T1, I needed to put screenshots of all of my pages in both Google Chrome and Fire Fox, then I annotated it in even more detail. This didn't take long at all. Right after the completion of this task, I saw that Jordan B had posted a survey, therefore I reviewed his website and gave him feedback based on his questions.

In addition, as I continued to work on my evaluation, Catherine told us about the UCAS convention and website. For the convention in June, there will be many universities I can speak to about my future choices, courses, careers, and paths. I have decided to create some questions over the half term to prepare me later on. For UCAS' website, from the 27th onwards, I am able to start creating an account and filling in the application forms. This is a big and difficult step I must put further research into.

As I was reaching the end of my evaluation throughout the day, "Zoetic Zoe" told me to use Dynamic Drive and take a piece of free code from there (JavaScript's Live Clock) - this is so I can meet the last requirement which is to have one interactive technology. As I know completely nothing about JavaScript (except for it is similar to pseudocode), I just managed to centre the live clock in the middle, change the font-family, font-size, and background-colour to keep a consistent appearance. I also took the time to do Edward L's survey. On his 'About Me' page, he put some highly sensitive and personal information which I respect and show friendly sympathy.

Once annotated and explained in detail, I finished my work in great detail and uploaded my new and final html, css, and js codes to FileZilla! Just when I was about to submit, somehow I stupidly and accidentally deleted all of the progress I have made today. Luckily my code was still there, and I even tried all of the methods for retrieval. "Zoetic Zoe" was nice to give me an extension but the deadline is on Friday, so there isn't much point as I will definitely make it. During the independent study time, I went into what I call the "zone" and worked with all my concentration. By the end of the two hours, I managed to get near to the end, for which I will take home to: complete, proof read, and submit. Hopefully my new written work will be twice as good as the previous.

Overall today was incredibly fun, then it turned upside down. I am surprised I kept my cool throughout the situation, as today a lot of bad news came to me (from outside of college too) - I will need to work much harder and rest less, this is so I can make time for everything that is currently happening. This is also the most difficult time as pressure is coming up from different exams I take outside of college and furthermore.

On Thursday, I will be attending UCS' taster day for their Games and Design course. I will be taking train and would be going all day. When I arrive home, I shall write a blog post about then. Until Thursday!
