Yesterday on Wednesday we usually have our day off. I took this opportunity to have my parents evening. "Amazing Adam" and "Jovial John" told me the progress of my work as well as my improvements. I was recommended many helpful advice such as creating my portfolio using Adobe InDesign which I will eventually look at.
Today, we immediately started off with Thursday Quiz which "Zoetic Zoe" made this time. The video was about automated cars programmed to move on their own. There was a total of 10 questions with 12 points maximum. In the end, I got a total of 4 points out of 12 due to the majority of the questions were based on observatory rather than factual, which was difficult as I needed to look down at my keyboard to make notes.
Afterwards, "Zoetic Zoe" explained the psychological factors for U22A1T1 about how it impacts individuals and society by computer gaming. We spent the first part of the day on this part as I had completed the concerns and benefits on Tuesday. The main factors I talked about was:
- Use of Sound
- High Sore Listing
- Competitive Games
- Peer Pressure
- Fun
- Expectations
- Levelling
After the first break, "Zoetic Zoe" split us into pairs and we were each assigned to a game genre. Me and Ben R became a pair and we made a document regarding about RPG (role-playing game) whereas other people did different genres. In turns, we explained what it is as well as give a valid suitable example. The purpose of this group activity is to give us partly the knowledge we need for U22A1T2. We could present this instructional material either by video or using PowerPoint - I decided to use PowerPoint as this is for a pass only (P2). But a video does sound productive and fun on the other hand. Me and Ben R decided to place our work into a folder within the Student Write Area for contribution to help those who are stuck.
Moving on, I proof read U22A1T1 and did the referencing as well as bibliography - I spent a good 20 minutes improving any grammar mistakes. Next, I filled in the target review for U1A3T2 and tidied my files. By the end of this task, it was 14:30pm so I spent the rest of the day during self-study to continue my drawing for my Christmas cards I am planning to give away on Monday.
I will start and complete as many slides as I can for U22A1T2 tonight as well as improve my story board gradually. Overall, today was a very productive day and I believe I am learning at a very good progress rate. Thank you for reading, tune in again for another blog tomorrow!
