Hello!
To recap about last week, over the weekends I have drawn and finalised the final storyboard which contains all of our ideas. I scanned the double sided sheet of paper at home and have annotated our reasoning. This seems as if I am doing the majority of the work, worry not - most of the ideas are equally used from everyone but I was just assigned to write it up. Additionally, due to the high amount of work I have done in this sector, I have ultimately got a little less work on other pieces for all fairness. When done, I sent it to Matthew T and Matthew B to let them have a thorough read through for a clear understanding of today's time plan.
During this morning, our first starter was just to watch a video "Jovial John" found and he thought it might be an interesting yet inspiring substance that can motivate us internally. Alongside with the video, the "Amazing Adam" has prepared some questions on the board for us to vocally answer at the end, if he asks us to that is. The video was about a drawn-on stop motion animation that interacts with real life environments by Hombre_McSteez - for personal interests you can watch the video here. (I've seen it before). What really was appealing and attractive was the appropriate uses of sound effects (friendly reminder there, though we are using background music over sound effects for our animations). After this, we began our work immediately.
As we all gathered up, we followed the time plan and have worked respectfully on our assigned tasks. Whilst during in today's production we had some ups and downs and major stress issues, at the end we managed to get everything sorted and even prepared for tomorrow. Throughout the day, Matthew T worked on creating his burger design, backgrounds and so forth. Although he will be restarting certain assets, he also helped me and Matthew B by teaching us Adobe Illustrator tools - it was extremely useful. For Matthew B, he worked on the first background scenery but it did not turn out as great. So after some constructive planning, he is determined to do better in the next trial with Matthew T's new skills - which he will also document down. Lastly for me, I worked on planning what kind of text would be created as well as creating the final logo as a vector rather than a bitmap. I also used the newly learnt skills and made some vector graphics. Stressfully, I also made the predicted dope sheet with some honest assistance.
At the end of the day, everyone managed to get to a suitable point. For Matthew B, he is completed and he can work on what the time plan says tomorrow. For Matthew T, he just needs to re-do his house building as he would like to change the design slightly, he will also finish the requested burger we asked him to do so. For me, I need to install Adobe Illustrator and work on my burger. Of course, I have constantly reminded everyone to keep documenting down every stage and step, then we can narrow it down and annotate any useful information only.
During independent study time, I regathered the group for a final discussion. Now that everyone knows what they are doing, I supported them and we have planned out slightly what we will be doing for tomorrow's time plan. For the annotation of our work, we have decided to do that at home in our free time so we can continue to perform any animation production whilst we are all in college. At this current pace, it is possible to get everything done if they keep it up. However, if we start to fall behind then we will need to come in during the Easter holidays. Not that I hesitate, the only issue is that they may be busy and this may give the chance for us to forget important information.
Overall today was a stressful but intensely a progressive day.
