Heyo!
When I arrived at the center this morning, I firstly paid Catherine the money; this is for the train ticket on our trip to UCS sometime soon. I also spoke to "Zoetic Zoe" about my work and some confusion over work.
When the lesson began, we continued our work like usual. For me, I asked the remaining people who have not yet reviewed my website to survey it quickly so I can crack on. With the feedback and response they gave me, I created a brand new document and showed how I improved my website with 'before' and 'after' screenshots and justified explanations. This task took time throughout the day as I had to change a lot of code for every improvement, as well as design new assets. (Mainly because I am a perfectionist, I make a lot of small tweaks).
I also used a lot of research time into seeing how other people lay out their websites. I learnt that a lot of interactive elements comes from JavaScript, which my knowledge is completely zero on that topic. So, I gathered a lot of inspiration and tried to apply it to my own website with only HTML and CSS. Furthermore, I also helped other peers (especially Adam M) to get starting their webpage designs.
At lunch, basketball continued as always, though today was much hotter and it was difficult to run in sweaty jeans. Nonetheless, good progress was made and I felt like my stamina is building up gradually. At the end of the day, I continued to work on my website at a slow pace. I firstly wanted to create an interactive gallery but I am unsure on whether to go simple or complicated, or even between.
Overall, today has been a long yet fun day to work. I enjoy discovering and experimenting code, however it is extremely time consuming. Following my original design, I will push forward and aim for completion by the end of this week. My next targets for tomorrow (and at home if I have time) is to add content to my pages.
That's it for today folks.
