Hello special reader,
During the start of the day, the blog stars were acknowledged for their detailed English (Ben and Tom). Then the "Amazing Adam" went through a slide showing us the detail implemented into designing characters to get us thinking. An example he showed us was about the changes to the player when it collects a power up. As a result, the "Admirable Adam" allowed us to play a maze game and a platform game that we had evaluated in the past. By doing so, we have realised what is important and how much effort is roughly needed to get all the work done.
You could say today is the start of our asset creations. However, over the weekend I have been developing my characters, power ups and enemies (pixel art). This has put me to an advantage point ahead of everyone else. We are required to create: character, power ups, enemies, and start to think about backgrounds and platforms. I am debating whether to use a royal free one and manipulate the image myself, or create a brand new platform or background myself from scratch in Photoshop.

These two images are the result from designing at home through inspiration, imagination and creativity.
As the "Awe-inspiring Adam" mentioned about how the power ups effect the player itself, I decided to work on getting all the pixels art completed first. Afterwards, I added effects and enhanced the appearance to produce an even better result. Moreover, I screenshot each pixel art in Photoshop CS6 and explained each pixel art, its colour choices, and inspiration in my Design Log (U30A3). Additionally, I also compared my original designs from home to the improved ones created today and compared my drawing as of first impressions to the final result. This has allowed me to see how much I have stayed on track: a lot!
After the above task, myself and the class wrote their blogs and it was an earlier time than usual. This is most likely because we have made a lot of progress today and would be best to reflect faster. Overall, today was a fun day because it concluded with a lot of creativity. I got to look at other people's idea, and as a result this increased my own.
