Hey!
When I arrived this morning, I firstly made the changes to the A4 evaluation that the "Amazing Adam" has resent me. Then I went upstairs to ask him how to fill in the scheme of learning. It seems quite straightforward at first, but I got stuck on some areas and made the changes anyway. This means I need to eventually recheck with him to see if it is alright for submission.
Today we didn't have a starter, instead we "Zoetic Zoe" reunited with us and firstly introduced the new unit, which is Web Productions, Unit 28! She went through the different learning outcomes we will cover throughout this unit. She also introduced the class to Notepad++, which is a coding notepad that runs not only HTML, but also CSS.
Throughout the day, she briefly goes over the different tag types we can use to make our own webpage. Everything here is all new to me, and therefore things can get complicated easily. As the first assignment will begin tomorrow, today is a day to get our heads around the language and layout. I personally had fun exploring and making my website with basic text and images. Nearer towards the end of the day, when we got our own independent time I filled in the unit's initial survey as well as spent time practicing my HTML and CSS coding on Code Academy.
Overall, today was an entirely different day. It wasn't stressful, but a lot of new things came my way. Although I do not have super interest in making a website, I find learning fun in general. Plus, I am aiming for another distinction. As a result I have started to practice harder coding once I've got my head around the basics. Today has been a success! Let the theory begin tomorrow.
