Sup!
During this Monday morning, the "Amazing Adam" immediately threw us into a starter task where he had to see who types the fastest. My fingers were cold so I firstly got around 78wpm (words per minute). However, after getting revved up I upped my game to 114wpm - a massive difference! That definitely woke me up and it was a fun starter task, I hope to have more of those.
A few minutes after before we had the whole day to continue our work, we had to send an email to the "Amazing Adam" regarding about what our targets for today are (self-assessment). This includes stating which outstanding work we have remaining. Personally, I had completed three pieces at home over the weekend, this includes: Binary Bits & Bytes and how it relates to Packets & Frames, Synchronous & Asynchronous Transmissions, and Error Correction & Error Detection. (Yes, I had sweat blood and shed tears to complete these with the power of my soul). I had also finished Analogue vs Digital last week therefore I only had two pieces remaining, which were Channel Types & Data Transmissions. Moreover, I also had to wait for the "Amazing Adam" to observe me using the software, application, connecting and forgetting a network appropriately whilst having health and safety in account along with U10A3T2 - a report assessing whether wired or wireless network is better based on factual comparisons of the infrastructure mentioned in the scheme of learning's scenario.
So I cracked on with the work. I firstly started and ended up finishing Data Transmissions. In this piece of work, I talked about the different factors that can affect it positively and or negatively, these include bandwidth, noises, and compression such as Huffman coding. Additionally, for channel types I explained the different types of mediums such as light, radio, microwave and satellite and what each of them are used for and do. I found it slightly hard as I was starting to forget information, but as I did research and ask my peers/tutor they managed to re-trigger my memories.
Moving on, some point during the day the "Amazing Adam" picked me for observation - this was for a part in U10A3T1. I firstly had to tell him what to bare in mind when it is about health and safety. The health and safety procedures are sitting in the upright position, arm length between your eyes and monitor, adjust chair height depending on persona and desk height, take regular breaks to avoid RSI (repetitive strain injuries). I then had to take screenshots for how to connect to a network, showing an email interface as well as forgetting the network at the last step. I had moments where I 'derped' out but in the end I managed to achieve all the criteria as stated in the observation sheet the "Amazing Adam" shared with me.
At the end of the day, I submitted U10A2T2 to Adam. For U10A2T1, I decided to wait until around midnight to submit it to "Jovial John" to avoid plagiarism from other peers. However, if any one does reattempt to plagiarise I will be sure to inform him specifically on who. Overall, I had a very good time today getting my head down and cracking on. All that I remain with is U10A3 - which I need to make a report assessing the network choices as well as expanding on my screenshot explanations. The deadline for U10A3 has been extended for a day therefore I believe I will have lots of time tomorrow to once again crack on and submit the remaining work.
