U10A1T2 Completed...!

Heya,

Once again on every Thursday's blog, I must inform you on my progress over Wednesday's off. Therefore during yesterday, I completed the fifth and sixth blog sections (access methods and communications models and protocol for U10A1T2, and started with the last blog, which is about data elements.

So during this fine cold Monday-like morning, I arrived earlier than usual again (approximately 30 minutes) and realised that the "Amazing Adam" is absent so we had Pete instead. Next, I spent my time submitting the work I completed from home onto the SkyNet blog (you can read them here). Half an hour later, Pete printed off my quiz which was based about CSMA/CA and CSMA/CD and did the quiz with the whole class. I felt incredibly proud as I spent a long time perfecting the questions and finding appropriate, challenging yet fair questions to help and benefit their learning/understanding of the topic. I chose this topic to have a quiz on to help them, this led to me finding a video which was time consuming but was worth the hassle as in the end, everyone got high scores - the lowest were Billy B and Adam M at 5 marks. (Billy B decided to push the quiz onto Adam M forcefully like man to a girl - understand my overrated humour). The highest was Liam B (nicknamed Lima) at 10 points, congratulations to him and the rest of the people following...

Afterwards, Pete set us the work that Adam had prepared for us, these were to attempt to complete U10 A1 and A2, peer review each others work, complete any outstanding work, create SMART target, write our blogs and be awesome! - seriously, he put that, legend. For me, I continued with my work and realised that I had some issues completing the last part of the blog (data elements: encapsulation, datagrams and sequences. Whilst struggling, a student asked for my help as he was unsure with his work with "Zoetic Zoe", as a result I went to check his work and came to conclusion to ask "Zoetic Zoe" for his problem and ask "Jovial John" for mine. We both went upstairs and did the following explained. Whilst waiting for "Jovial John", I helped other students' work from Unit 1 to Unit 22 to even this unit, yay! 10 minutes later, the master of everything (John) arrived and explained the task/terminologies to everyone.

After his explanations, it was clearly justified and therefore I continued my work without hassle. Soon after, I got my work complete and posted the blog. However, before I submit the second half of U10A1T2, I need to complete U10A1T3 which is the distinction task for John. I decided to leave it to the last part of the day and start it off, resulting in completing by tomorrow as a target. So as I was just about to do my SMART target, we did a competition to see who can type and press space the fastest - my record is 101WPM (words per minute) - damn I can be a television subtitles presenter.. Consequently, I started off the third task, relaxed and help other students.

My SMART target are:
Specific: I will attempt to achieve the distinction criteria for U10A1T3.
Measurable: I will know when John has marked it.
Achievable: I will perform lots of preparation as well as research in advance. I have also made many notes from the pitches John did recently.
Realistic: This target is realistic and I know I can do this with patience and time.
Time Bound: I believe I can achieve this before the deadline if I keep my head down.

Overall today was a very productive day - however all of the activities and events has drained me out. I may decide to have some fun and draw for the remaining time before I leave and start the distinction task via home. Enjoy your afternoon/evening reader!
