Hey all,
Today was a very normal day where we continued any outstanding work. Firstly, I continued the distinction piece of work (U10A1T3) that I had started over the weekend as I had left it for today due to my struggling. In general, I was a bit lost where I had to mention the limitations and similarities. Helpfully, the "Amazing Adam" gave me the motivation to reattempt my limitations and as a result I had completed that sector within half of the day because the limitations are the drawbacks to the user - this gave me many ideas overall.
As the day progressed, I helped a lot of other people but I had reached to the point where I was getting annoyed that instead of people asking for help, I felt manipulated and that all of my hard work/research were being copied as we use blogs to represent our knowledge. I decided to talk to Adam about this issue and he had relayed it to John (this has happened over a few units but is progressively improving). Despite this, I am lucky that I am being viewed as a representative or a guide and I am also willing to help people, however literally giving the answer away is what they're demanding. I feel this is unfair and this means that most of the effort I invested within many individual independent self study hours are being discredited. Examples of this included sentences directly from my blog, making me check their work every 5 minutes (using my words) etc. This unmotivates me and makes me less willing to work fast and hard because I believe I'd be copied. From now on, I will complete all of my work in the document before pasting it online onto the web to avoid plagiarism.
Moving on, some people were becoming confused on some areas and so therefore the "Amazing Adam" solved this issue by telling individual students to write down their questions for "Jovial John" to answer after lunch. Whilst it was being passed around, I managed to finish my piece of distinction work and proof read it, leaving the remaining part for "Jovial John" to check to ease my confusions.
After lunch, "Jovial John" had answered everyone's questions and eventually mine. He helped me explain the AC/DC (alternating current/direct current) area as I was getting it mixed up with the analogue to digital conversion topic. He also helped answer my question about the similarities for U10A1T3 for both communication models. He said I was doing it right and I have mentioned as much as I could that are related to what we learnt previously, this is a good compliment as it means my hard work are being seen and that I have made no mistakes so far - hopefully.
Next, I started the next assignment for U10A2T1. It contains six separate parts and it is required to be completed by the end of next week. This is the same for the third assignment therefore I will be working incredibly hard at home and throughout the course. However, many people always ask me for help which is a good thing but it as come to the point where I am always occupied. My speed and progress has decreased as a result of it and it makes me feel behind, resulting to a bit of unwanted stress.
Overall today was a very productive day. I will be starting other pieces of work at home for U10A2T1 and I will be proof reading them too. Despite my awesome progress, I am starting to find it frustrating and manipulated as the course continues. I hope Adam and John somehow sorts this out peacefully as it is adding to the stress that doesn't necessarily have to be there. Other than that, I am enjoying everything!
