In this awesome morning, I firstly added comments onto the new mark grid "Jovial John" shared with us. This was for us to comment on any criteria that we have achieved and show proof by indicating the date of the email. I spent a good fast five minutes doing this - I hope my hard work pays off and I get a distinction!
As a starter activity, the first thing we did with the "Amazing Adam" was doing a crossword with some terminologies over the unit. It was a fast competition for a starter and Adam M won, following by Joe and so forth. After the crossword activity, the "Amazing Adam" asked us what each word meant and we answered accordingly - good memory game.
Consequently. we created a mind map about what we had learnt so far. This started from the start point of 'Network', leading out to other sub topics like the software's, topologies, transmission methods and more. It is a brainstorm of our knowledge so far from the start as basic overview expanding outwards to more detail and more in depth. Additionally, when designing the mind map, we also included strengths and weaknesses too for additional intellect. Although we could have been working on our outstanding work, I found this useful and a fun way of learning because we are reflecting strongly on our previous lessons. This can therefore help us memorise information easier and develop potential soft skills as a result.
I decided to go over the top and pour down as much information as I can remember. This benefited me because as soon as I thought of one thing, it allowed me to think of the next one. When the timer stopped, we all went around different computers and looked at other people's work. This was a chance for us to be inspired and therefore make changes to mine.
Next, the "Amazing Adam" went through the third assignment (oh gosh, more work!) It is a fairly easy task but knowing that I like to be a perfectionist, it will mean I will spend additional time on a piece of work for personal satisfaction. The assignment was about creating a few step to step guides - we firstly had to do some independent research on what makes a good guide, such as its features, layout, and what strengths it has. I personally found that a good guide should include diagrams to enhance a point or an explanation, suitable text such as its font, size and colour as well as having the article split up into readable segments.
Following up, we then looked at the first task of the assignment where it says that we have to create a guide for:
- How to use Skype.
- Join a Wi-Fi Network.
- Send contact information via Bluetooth.
Firstly, I used Skype on my phone and messed around for a bit for some funny banter. Few minutes later, I concentrated and took screenshots of Skype on my phone (Windows Phone). In a word document, I inserted these screenshots and explained the different parts of the Skype application and how to use it. Whilst doing this, two people at a time was taken away to do the second part (Join a Wi-Fi Network) whilst being assessed by the "Amazing Adam".
At the end, I almost completed the guide and thus, will be completing it once I get home. Yay!
My current work's progress are: (Will be updated as I work).

- U10A2T1 - Part 2:

- U10A3T2 -
Overall I found today a very informative day for the new assignment. However, I will need to work extra hard at home to make sure I catch up. I am certain that other people are falling behind, so if we had one more additional day where we focused all of our attention on any remaining outstanding work, that would be fantastic. Other than that, it was a very good challenging morning and afternoon!
P.S: If it snows tomorrow, I'd post a blog for Monday. (teehee). Me and Sami H also made banter meme!
