Today was another epic moment in the course. I pushed the passengers aside, stormed out of the populated bus and made a dash to the center. As a result, I was early and continued my U6A1T1. Additionally, I was confused about some minor problems over the night such as definitions, therefore I decided to use my time and research to help prepare for the upcoming tasks. Moreover, the "Jovial John" was late so the "Amazing Adam" took over our registration for the time being. During this time, we were given an already prepared-starter activity to create a program that uses 'For' statements to sum up numbers. At first, I found it extremely difficult due to the fact that I skipped the first one or two PowerPoint tutorials. In the end, I re-read the tutorials and it had helped me a bit more. I ended up making the numbers appear in the wrong area but apart from that, everything worked accordingly. At the end of the starter task, a wild "Jovial John" appeared and told us the secret behind his amazing programming skills.
Afterwards, "Jovial John" explained to us a few main data types as promised. The explanation was straightforward and it made complete sense. (All hail "Jovial John!"). We then spent a small period of time to research different data types and re-discussed it with the class. I pointed out 'long' data type, which is a whole number which can go from minus two billion to positive two billion - the memory space would be humongous. Moving on, we all resumed our assignment one task one. Whilst doing so, the "Jovial John" helped a few of us including myself on individual topics such as high level and low level programming language. However, there was too many respondents to respond to. "Jovial John" responded to our aid by giving us a piece of blank paper to write down any difficulties needed to be re-explained. Moreover, anyone having the same problem would tally next to the mentioned recommendation. As a result, "Jovial John" could tell apart my writing and pointed out that I needed help immediately as apparently my writing is "too neat". (I'm thankful for the compliment. The secret to neat writing is practice. :P). After a while, "Jovial John" ticked off the list like it was nothing and answered everyone's confusion. (Mother of God...).
As time does its job, the blog stars of the week was presented using voice speech that "Jovial John" created yesterday with good sound effects. The blog stars of the week was me, Liam, and Gabe. (This is my fifth time being a blog star, woohoo). The only amendments is that blog stars are now arranged to weekly rather than daily. We then all took part in a task where each student was given a letter of the alphabet and tried to implement it into Small Basic by programming the turtle features. I found it annoyingly difficult as it is something extremely new, but I was determined and asked for help. After so, I got the hang of it by using the "trial and error" method and ended up making a masterpiece as a result.
Then to self-study, we continued the assignments and blogs but I used this time to create the epic daily laughs for today, which "Jovial John" stated "it is the best one so far", (see figure Jovial John LAD 8) - (Greatly appreciated; I shall try to top this with something even amusing". Additionally, I also planned my weekends which is to practice the turtle features in Small Basic, and to continue/get done the majority of the assignments.
P.S: The "Amazing Adam" and "Phenomenal Pete" laughed so hard at my daily laughz!
